Does anyone know if the honda crv 1998 has a cambelt or chain!I tried to google it but had no luck and am only a woman so know nothing!lol

thanks are you sure!I rang the honda dealer to ask when the belt should be done and he said it was a chain when he looked up the chassis number.I was not sure if he was right or not!Now I am confuzzled!

'98 would definitely be a belt - Hondas didn't start to use chains until the early 2000s.

blackbnz-have a look on the chasis plate ane give us the engine number I have one rule about cars.--As soon as I state something as certain someone comes to prove me wrong. Id say definitely its a cambelt engine but wityh the engine number we can be certain
