Just done oil change etc, what's the secret in resetting the Oil Service on the dash!It's still reading "Service Required".This is a 1997 318 Sports Coupe.Thanks.

you got to jumper probably some pins on the round diagnostic tool thats what i recall we had to do in the 90s with no diagnostic tools

2 plugs just look the right one up jumper pin 7 and 19 they posted.

As above ,Yes you can reset by earthing the appropriate pin on the diagnostic connector. Make sure you get the right pin.

Alternatively you can buy an inexpensive plug-in reset tool which will do the job. Mine was about 30 bucks from memory (ebay) and has done a great many resets on lots of different bimmers over the last few years.
