Just watching some ditz getting arrested on Police Ten 7.The arrested girl is alleged to have jumped across from the back in a police car, shifted the car from park which caused it to run down the hill and crash into a wall. In the only automatic transmission car I've had, this wouldn't have been possible unless either pressing the shiftlock button while moving the speed selector (if the car wasn't running) or having the foot on the brake!

Yea just watched that. Alot of damage for a slow impact hit. Im guessing it was prob in nuetral with handbrake on. And she was cuffed as well wasnt she. But yea you shouldnt be able to just pull it out of park. And did she really have keys out the car! even though it showed her saying she did and keys in hand.Least they showed it on TV

Yes, no stupid foot on brake and ignition setup. You can move it without all that junk.

So that means that Police cars will have a shift lock then!
