Twice in the last week when slowing down to stop the transmission has hung in 2nd and then slammed down into 1st! Have just driven to Havelock and back and did it once ( 500km ). Also when it does this it brings up three warning lights! I have pulled over and turned off engine for a minute or two and re started. Lights go away and drives normally again. Is there some sort of solenoid in the gearbox! Electrical! Help please

Thanks tools going to gearbox specialist tomorrow. I thought someone on motoring might have come across this before

Just for anyone that is interested! Fault code on gearbox is code C, which is solenoid C faulty. Subaru don't sell the Solenoid you have to buy the whole valve body $2600.00 ! BUT guys at gearbox shop believe Nissan solenoid is the same part that is faulty $260. Have to wait for them confirm once Nissan part arrives ex Auckland. Fingers and toes crossed.
