Roughly how many kilometres do you get from a tank? as I'm going from Wellington - Tauranga and back and my mate has offered me his car to take and I was wondering how much it would cost

Well if if you drive via Waitangi, just to make sure the car is properly run in, it is going to cost a bit extra.

Well as a very rough estimate. -they have a 73L Fuel tank so lets say a usable 65L -on a good long run I would say you'd get into the single figures but let's just hazard a guess at 10.5L/100kms.
That gives a rough tally of 620kms. So around 600-680kms to the tank

A trip like that should get around 9.0/9.5 L/100KM
All the Aussie 6/8's are just ticking over at 100 KPH

The figure above are sedate driving, 10-11l/100km more like it, once you get into the traffic all the way from levin you will use more, depends what time of day or night. As for Wellington, that depends where abouts in the city as plenty of stop start traffic there.

Yeah, mine (VE) used 13 on holiday for 100km, and the new one would get 10-11 if you stick to the limit.
