Attention Jazzpianoma re VW Passat

Sees to me that there are a hell of a lot of self appointed experts on here. I would have thought that if you have never owned a given make/model of car you cannot give a really valid opinion.

Then you become a "motoring journalist".

Nobody said it was build by Porsche. Is Meow correct or not? You seemed to think his statement was incorrect judging by the straw and hole comment.

Not sure what your take on this is but, Meow is saying that the $6000.00 price tag for a Subaru front bumper is because it was designed by Porsche. For me I doubt Porsche has/had anything to do with Subarus' pricing structure, especially when a Porsche front bumper can be purchased for a fraction of the $6k. That's all I'm going to say on this matter. Thanks.

Porsche helped Subaru out with a few things in the 90's, notably the H6 EZ30 engine.
Blitzen parts are expensive because they are getting pretty rare now.
I expect if you needed a new bumper from any other low volume sports car of the same age, say an HSV GTO or something, they would be rather pricey too these days.
