I need to provide the engine and chassis numbers for my 2012 Ford Focus Trend because it is the subject of a Motor Vehicle Disputes Tribunal. I was able to find the VIN number easily on a plate in the driver's door, but there were no other numbers. I looked in the handbook and can find nothing to help me trace the numbers. Can you help?

try the passengers side door opening. a lot of cars are made for left hook and have the id plate on the the leftside

A Ford scanner can retrieve both the engine number and the VIN from the computer. I don't think there is a chassis number separate from the VIN these days.

Car jam - if it is recorded it will show on car jam. 2012 was year when we started getting new focus from thialand, they might have done it differently.
Thank you. Car Jam was able to give me the engine number but there doesn't appear to be a chassis number. Hopefully it won't be essential to my tribunal hearing.

think tony was right, don't have seperate chassis numbers any more it seems. Vin is all that's usually needed.
