How to find car value

kaylin, Dec 5, 7:59am
I'm buying a car on Monday and I'd like to know how much it's worth for insurance purposes please. Can anyone give me a website please?
Nissan presea ct11 1996. 80,000 on the clock and excellent condition

Your insurance co's website should tell you that, you should be able to get an online quote within minutes for most vehicles made in the last 30 years. If you can't do that, go to another company!

OP wants insurance value. 20 year old car

Presea's are not worth a lot, but that said, it's only done 80k.
I would say it's worth a solid $2500, perhaps a little more to the right buyer.
If it had 180,000k, I would agree it's worth $2000, but the low K's and excellent condition make it better than that.

Again its INSURANCE valuation. What number will the insurer pay out on? I say 2k --not what it would sell for--that's a different story.

yes but insurance company will have to go with market value or agreed value and market value would be better than 2k

dutchie92, Dec 6, 3:57am
$1,500

If it's a clean and tidy car that reflects the low mileage, then it's probably worth an agreed value (if you are able to secure an agreed value on your policy) of $2995. Yes, it's old, and yes, it's not (to our eyes) a desirable model, but defying any official predictions, older tidy low mileage cars are stubbornly holding value amongst buyers- at least, those hunting out older tidy cars.
If you're paying no more for an agreed value vs. market, why automatically devalue your potential payout if the vehicls suffers a total loss?
