save usually yes but dont expect miricals . injector cleaner works by cleaning the intake valve as thats where the fuel is sprayed unless you have a gasoline direct injector then injector cleaner will do nothing at all. Würth make the best injector cleaner additive

The manufacturers aren't going to say they may do damage are they? The big thing with the bottled in tank injector cleaners is how do you gauge its effectiveness, only before and after inspection of the spray pattern and flow rates is going to give you a good idea of that, if you are prepared to do that then you may as well get a fuel shop to test and clean them properly and renew the sock filters, or just replace them outright. There is already additives in the petrol to combat injector fouling and upper cylinder deposits, and taking advantage of better additive packages in 95 and 98 and frequent fuel filter changes are money better spent to keep the fuel system healthy.
