Have notice for a while now when locking doors get a horrible grinding relay type noise.
Used to just, clunk, so not sure what happened.
Unlock good as.
Thanks

do you wish to try and solf this your self?
it might be easy or hard but since you have noises it could potentially be fixed before it becomes a problem.
if you dont want to fix it you will need a trustworty auto electrition who readsa the wiring diagram and follows the noise and concludes the fix required from this.

Where is the noise coming from? It is coming from the door itself?

Find which door it comes from, and pull door trim off. You'll just have to look for screws behind plastic covers and when sure all undone prise it off. Got to undue and fixtures such as arm rest, handles.
Once off search again for noise. If it's inside actuator pull it out and plug wires back in and try again, if still makes noise you are now sure it is in actuator not in lock or connections. Get second hand actuator.

It might be in mechanism but you'll find out once there.

Not hard job with minor tools and patience. Rewarding when fixed.

Thanks guys.
Yes seems to be drivers door.
With the info you have given, will make it easier to locate.
As Intrade says, finding a, "trustworthy auto electrician' is the next step.
Anyone know of any in the Papamoa/Mount areas?
