Toyota coolant

Hi, got my 2001 rav serviced at a dealer, red coolant is a little low in tHe overflow. Anyone know what type coolant this is so I can buy some? Cheers.

Would have thought the dealer would have checked coolant, not that it should be using it.

Top it up with good old water.

Depending on it's age the coolant should be replaced to avoid corrosion issues.

How low is low? If its not below the low mark when its dead cold don't worry about it unless it requires topping up to keep it above the mark.

ask the dealer what they used.
i can't recall exactly the whole story but Toyota red coolant is not the same as most other red coolant. you do not want the use the wrong type of mix the different types.

Repco have Toyota Long Life compatible coolant, concentrate and premixed as well I think.

Got some demineralised water and put that in. Problem was it had a coolant flush but was really low when engine was cool.

That will be fine. It'll be Toyota red coolant that they put in and it's a 50/50 concentrate mix so a little bit more demineralised water won't be an issue
