Car Inspection / PPI

Hi,
Who do you guys recommend to do a PPI these days?
Just a basic 2007 Nissan, in Auckland.
In the past I have used Car Inspection Services several times and been happy with them. Do they still have a good name?
Thanks!

They are IMO pretty darn good.

My folks used them to inspect my mothers Daihatsu Copen in Auckland last year. Picked up things that the VTNZ missed on their WOF check. Very thorough. Very easy to deal with over the phone, they went and collected the vehicle from the seller, performed inspection then returned the car.

If you are looking at a CVT Nissan of that era (say a Tiida) be very aware that the transmissions are very short life units. This is regardless of how well they are serviced.

The other big issue with Nissan's of that era are those running the 2.5 litre 4 cylinder engine which has a serious and catastrophic design flaw.

Might be worth discounting those two things before you go as far as paying for a PPI.

Best of luck with your purchase.
