Yes, you need to work out how many l/100km the vehicle does then multiply that by the cost of diesel per litre and then multiply again by 7 (for 700km).

Then you need to add the cost of road user charges, which will likely be $6.20 per 1000km, so $620 multiplied by 7.

Is this a Transit van?
If you give some more details regarding the vehicle we can probably do the math for you.

I will take a punt on it being a Transit van and do the math for you based on that in the meantime.

The transit will likely use about 11 litres per 100km.

So 11 x 7 is a total of 77 litres

Diesel will cost you about $1.20

So (11 x 7) x 1.2 = $92.4

Now you just need to add the RUC cost to that so.

(6.2 x 7) + 92.4 = $135.80

That's your approximate total cost $135.80

I would say the Courier would use a bit more so, say 12-13l/100km depending on what you are hauling and whether this is open road or not.

So just (13 x 1.2) x 7 = $109.2.

There isn't A calculation exactly there is THE calculation for that specific vehicle. Sorry to be nittpicky. The single cab/cab and a half and double cab couriers to the best of my knowledge are 2.5l (2490 something) -Or has yours had a transplant?
9.7l/100km is the government fuel rating on a manual 2wd.
So that's 67.9 litres you'll use
