what did it say on the WOF sheet! I think maybe you need a differant workshop at first thought though

eluciv_, Sep 8, 5:30pm
springs! not enough travel or what! i would only see that happening if they were uncaptive/cut either that or your shocks are leaking wich is also a fail

dianne1, Sep 8, 5:35pm
the garage siad toomuch travel !

eluciv_, Sep 8, 5:41pm
have you got warrents there before!

johnf_456, Sep 8, 5:45pm
Sounds sus, get a 2nd opinion from another workshop

morrisman1, Sep 8, 5:54pm
umm time for second opinion and make it one from the nissan dealership. Sounds real dodgy to me. Wonder why the garage wont warrent second hand ones because they are designed as a part not requiring replacement over the lifetime of the vehicle which could be up to 500,000km.

dianne1, Sep 8, 6:37pm
yes they gave us last warrant

neo_psy, Sep 8, 6:50pm
Too much travel! Have they been cut! (thinking too much play, rather than travel).

bitsy_boffin, Sep 8, 7:29pm
Won't warrant second hand ones!

They angling for a job maybe!

moosie_21, Sep 8, 7:41pm
Haha, cut springs on a 2002 Nissan March! Aren't exactly the type of vehicle to attract the B/R crowd, unless I'm missing something!

mrfxit, Sep 8, 7:47pm
LOL . ninja march

moosie_21, Sep 8, 7:54pm
That's what I was thinking. Put a 26DETT in it, lower it a bit and that's it. Sleeper as!

neo_psy, Sep 8, 7:57pm
I knew someone that had a lowered March (1999, I think). Horrible thing, it was, but still lowered.

I think the one I knew was properly lowered, but that wouldn't preclude someone butchering the springs.

How cab springs have too much travel.Travel is controled by length of shock is it not!

oramac, Sep 8, 8:18pm
Sounds odd to say the least. Easy solution for second hand springs, clean them and give them some black spray paint.

supernova2, Sep 8, 8:30pm
The 2nd hand bit makes me think they mean shocks and not springs.

oramac, Sep 8, 8:48pm
You could be right on that mate.

dianne1, Sep 8, 9:10pm
the guy at garage said thesprings havelost tension . need restressed. or something .at moment close to rubber stoppers. not the shocks . shocks ok

morrisman1, Sep 8, 9:16pm
If the car sits flat then Id be a bit sus and still get a second opinion. How much travel do they have before they hit the bumpstops!
