NHRA run TF over 1000ft and have done ever since the Scott Kalitta crash/fatality in June 2008. Other sanctioning bodies still run over the 1/4 mile unless there's not enough run off area at end of track.

The problem that rod and terry have with the car isnt hp,infact the car runs less hp than all of the others out on the strip. Problem they have is the lack of downforce at 3/4 track,the arse is to light and the car skips. Rod gave it 100% throttle in a pass a while ago and it just burnt the rears up in smoke. The mph was not set with all of the hp available,it was set with proper clutch setup and favourable weather. No doubt the pac boys will come up against the same issues,given some more racing.

dont forget the gas bmw did a 6.6 today as wellpac 6.7i think grumpe in the rx2 7.79 if i remember
