car is a toyota progres - engine is 2jz-ge (off the top of my head letters may be mixed up) it is vvti.when accellerating the car has started to get a bit jerky, does it more often when its hot than cold, and more at higher speeds (70kmh +).It had a misfire at idle when we got it, the mechanics had it for a week fixing that - is this the same or different issue!Car has only done 3000k since a service but if it may fix the issue we will get it another one, or is it possible injector cleaner is all it needs!

coil packs are a common failure on them. I guess you need to find if it's ignition or fuel related mis-fire.

With the amount of coils I have taken apart for the scrap copper (real easy, good $) 50% of them are knackered.
10% no oil! 15% sitting on their side, another 10% on the engine (too hot, too much vibration) 15% charcoled. 20% shorting out.
Amazing the car goes at all, could have been what wrecked it anyway.

Any chance it might be a vacuum leak maybe! Just a guess
