Hororata Swapmeet.

Apparently there is a Swapmeet at Hororata tommorrow.
Anyone know anything about it !

I'd never heard of a swapmeet there but in a couple of weeks there's the biggest in New Zealand at McLeans Island.

I doubt McLeans Island will stay the largest for much longer.
Its been cut back to a 2 day event this year. Hopefully all the garage salers that make up most of the stalls now ,stay away.
Perhaps Hororata will be a genuine Motoring only Swapmeet.

Top Marks for Hororata swapmeet .
Not a broken dinner set or Babies Knitting in site and apart from the hardy few , the only women on site were making hot coffee orcooking sausages.
About 50 sites with a large proportion of motor cycle parts.
If it continues next year , I'll be there. .

Mcleans has been worse & worse for years now, the old "Take $20 for that!" & "Nah I will chuck it on Trademe & get $40 for it" has kinda wrecked swapmeets
I find Winchester to be a good nosey around, always buy something - not so much at Mcleans - last few years its been a can of coke & a whitebait pattie lol
When I was younger I would have to make sure the boot was empty before we went ha ha
