I want to build an electric rc lawnmower with a webcam on it, so you can mow your lawns from anywhere in the world over the internet, or better yet make a facebook game of it, I bet people would play it

That looks shit. Bet it wouldnt cut a normal NZ lawn.

How you gonna empty the catcher!

pretty cool but apparently husky's push mower isnt that good on NZ lawns so perhaps these perform similarly. Got a good old masport 19" wide cut here with the B&S Industrial engine. Works brilliant but the new B&S engines dont like being tipped forwards - they will soak the air filter with oil through the breather which makes for a smokey engine!

One of my friends has one, He also owns the local Husky shop. His lawns are large and always immaculate and the only mower he uses is a robot one like the one shown. These mowers go anytime of the day or night and in the rain etc.Once he found a sliced hedgehog on his lawn. They operate on a bump and go type steering system with a fine wire around the outer lawn perimeter. When the battery gets low they return to the charging station, dock, recharge then carry on mowing again. Basically they keep mowing 24/7 or untill they are turned off. No grass clippings because they are only trimming a small amont of grass that has grown from the last time it mowed that area.

Heres something i built in the shed, not quite robotic or for your average lawn.http://youtu.be/P7vLTRMFGvM

It's just a little overdriven on the blade, lol.

Hey wouldn't it be more useful to build a robotic hoover!Aftersay 30 mins of no movement in a room, it could whoosh around and suck up the muck. Now that'd be far more useful than a mower.

Robotic vacuums! They have been around for ages
