Our Hamilton mates are losing their V8 race so even with the Scrap Palace burnout competitions, the fuel waste and the tyre smoke will be waaaaay down.
It used to be that the biggest waste of recreational fuel was from families going on holidays, and the second biggest waste came from horseracing.
Now it might be those lycra dudes driving to the likes of Taupo in their Toyota Estima diesel with the bikes on top. 500 or 1000 people at a burnout comp will use bugger all fuel.

oh dear god wouldnt people rather burnouts/skids etc done in a safe controlled enviroment then on the open road where someone could get hurt or killed!boys will be boys let them have a little bit of fun LEGALLY where NO ONE will risk being KILLED.
i personally am excited to go :)
