Factory or aftermarket immobiliser! If Factory, ring a dealer, if aftermarket, ring the company that made it.

If it was as simple as just disabling it. it wouldn't be much of an alarm ;) What brand is it! I may know someone on the shore that can help you

Cut the blue wire. no hang on - is it the blue or the red wire! Whatever you do, don't cut the green wire or touch the yellow wire with the black wire - or is that disarming a bomb!

aftermarket i believe, but it was already installed in the car when i bought the car almost 5 yrs ago

its a Meridian security alarm, on the inside of the alarm button thingy it says TX-02 Lintek Issue 4

Apparently Meridian alarms were pretty rubbish. Your best bet would be to call a NZSA accredited alarm installer and get the Meridian one removed and replaced with a better alarm.
