How do I find out the last recorded hubo reading!

Just looking at a truck and would like to find out the last recorded hubo reading to make sure everything is legit. I have Carjam'ed it and tells me the last speedo readings but the road users on this truck and done by the hubo and Carjam doesnt seem to supply and hubo info. Any help would be fantastic. Thanks

Try the NZTA you get a better result

Carjam does supply that information under the Road User Charges section however they charge you for that bit of information.Even the NZTA will only be able to tell you when the last KMs purchased was and current to.

Without actually physically seeing the Hubo you are not going to know if they are up to date.

Thanks, I will try NZTA. The Hubo is broken and has been removed and has now gone missing. The mechanic that was doing the work has now moved to Oz and no one can find the hubo. Well, so the story goes. So I need to get it a new one but want to know if its last recorded reading was in credit or not so I have some idea of how much im going to be up for before I go through with the deal. Cheers

Ah well now you told the whole story then yes contact the NZTA but you may find that due to the circumstances you might get stung for a replacement Hubo and no credit anyways because you have no proof of the previous reading.

Just go get a new hubo, you will need to know the tyre size of your vehicle, about $80from memory, and go and buy some miles for it. You will need the new serial number of the hubo and if they ask about the last one say it fell off. It always pays when you buy a truck to put a new hubo on so that way you don't get caught out for RUC. Also great way for you to keep track of servicing with it starting at zero.

Find the last person who drove it if possible and ask them for a look in their log book, has to be in there. Could work if you can find them.
