Scored me a chainsaw for nothing told it didnt go, still turned over ok but no spark, bought it home took pulled start cover off found a wire had come off the on/off switch at the magneto end, soldered a new one on and still no spark, Bought a new sparkplug, Pulled flywheel off, Reset the points, threw it back together and it fired up 1st pull of the cord, yeehaa, amazing what people throw away when they dont go anymore and cant be bothered looking at. Their loss my gain, About time i had a win lol

I have one here that was given to me because it won't start but I haven't got around to making it go yet. Hope it's as easy.
It's a great feeling aye. I have 1 like that here that was biffed out by a workshop because it wouldn't start no matter what they tried. Pulled the covers off & spotted the stub of a terminal (wire snapped off) on the coil. Dug down a little in to the coil packing so that I could solder on a new tag, glue & then hot glued around the new clip, clipped that stray wire on & VOILA, .I now have a spare mid size chainsaw, bar & chain included.

Yea another one was i scored a free Air compressor from a Dentists surgery as it was leaking oil, took it home welded some wheels on and a handle etc (as it was a fixed one) to make it mobile, made a new gasket for the actual compressor itself and Voila, No more oil leak, Have had it for over 6 years now and still runs like a dream. Runs a rattle gun, spray gun etc no problem

LOL yea hey this is getting really strange . ;-)
Got an old compressor given to me because a workshop was closing up. It's only a little twin cylinder with poppit valves & a knocking main bearing so they biffed it as part of the cleanout. I lapped the valves again, made a new head gasket & it's been knocking but running fine for the last 15 years.

I won an auction over in chch for a 52cc Dolmar a while back, the seller made contact and said that he couldnt get it to run but had previously run fine so i could have it for nothing. It looked like a tidy saw with replacible bar tip and good chain.I had some white bait in the freezer so gave him a lb and half doz free range eggs for being a good bugger.Got the saw home had good compression and a strong spark.Took the muffler off and gave the starter a pull and it fired up.Gave the muffler a clean added some fresh fuel and its been sweet ever since.I must try harder not to get any more saws off here as i have more than i can ever use.
