I am quite liking this model as an everyday car for living in the Queenstown-Wanaka area. Still a bit unhappy with this price though. opinions please!

Why are you unhappy with the price! it's got the lowest mileage of all the 1999 sp20's listed, and its def at the lower end of the price scale

You'd pay about 2k more at a dealer minimum. Price looks about right to me, you might be able to chew off a couple of hundred if you try, maybe.

From the start price or buy now! It does seem in pretty good condition. so could probably live with around 8k.

seems like bloody good buying to me. If its too much- dont buy it! not a hard solution

8k for a 12 year old import.not on my watch.

I thought it was just me who was thinking exactly that!

Well I think you have answered your own question really. If you are unhappy with the price dont buy it. If its cheaper than dealer cars it must be around what the market is dictating at the mo.
Find something similier to it but cheaper. Subarus seem dirt cheap.

Keep in mind there is an import law change in Jan - these kind's of car's aren't likely to go down in price.mileage seems a bit high for the $ I must admit, you must really like the look of it.

Cheers

$8k sounds okay so long as the cambelt has been replaced. If not I would want $1k off to pay for doing the cambelt, idlers, waterpump etc as it is due for that all to be done.
