*worth

jasongroves, Oct 6, 8:00pm
Shouldn't be too hard or expensive to track either a new or 2nd hand one down.

satans_child_nz, Oct 6, 8:05pm
i may be able to get one for alot cheaper than that if you cannot find one elsewhere

bigracket, Oct 6, 8:08pm
Thanks Satan

wellabolla, Oct 6, 8:09pm
why dont ya see if a VN commy inline injection pump will work!
I guess the intank pumps are more expensive

bigracket, Oct 6, 8:09pm
Ill look round in the morning, was just asking you guys on the off chance.

thejazzpianoma, Oct 6, 9:25pm
I take it it was a post 95 model!
Grotons do replacement inserts which is probably what you need, looking at under $200 or under $300 delivered depending on which one you go for.

kiwicon, Oct 7, 8:49am
walbro!

richardmayes, Oct 7, 8:57am
That can't be right. I heard that the hideous cost of replacement parts for european cars was all lies, cynically fed by the Japanese car importer/dealers to a willingly ignorant public that laps it up without question.

fiatracer, Oct 7, 9:06am
a little more info. who priced it at $1400!

fiatracer, Oct 7, 9:08am
hmmm, 30 seconds on google and I found it for $US52 !

fiatracer, Oct 7, 9:10am
again, it's not [necessarily] that euro cars are expensive to maintain, it's a result of us living at the bottom of the world, in a market flooded with japanese cars, and as you'd expect an industry that's grown around supporting them, rather than the less common stuff.

saxman99, Oct 7, 9:38am
Agreed.Buying bits for my euros from overseas is fine.

crzyhrse, Oct 7, 10:12am
That seems very reasonable. So it's just a myth about overpriced euro-weenie car spares!

fiatracer, Oct 7, 11:40am
um, well, if you read the thread through.

saki, Oct 7, 12:19pm
tell jazz piano that one

fiatracer, Oct 7, 1:40pm
This is turning into a perfect example of how these "Euros are expen$ive" memes work.

1/ someone posts an outrageous part price
2/ a couple of people snigger and scoff
3/ someone comes along and explains that the part is available at a fraction of the price and provides evidence
4/ a few more people come along and join in on 1/ and 2/, totally ignoring 3

drog, Oct 7, 1:56pm
Nice one.
