Cheers mate; should be interesting heading up North for a few days, particularly with a new untested car!

What are you driving! Last time I watched they were doing a leg I raced in my mr2 and so many of them were soooooooo slow. The kinda slow where apexing is not needed because you'd take the bend faster in a corolla on the way to work, I was all over the road holding it together when I did the road and it was hella fun.

We've parked up the GT3 we ran last year and have built up a 135i BMW, it's been one hell of a rush (as allways) so day one will be interesting. Sounds like you should be entering in your Corolla to put the GT-R35's in their place!

Lol if I had the cash I would, the best things to watch used to be little crappy fwds cause they were actually pushing it to keep up. I think there were a bunch of peugeot 205! (some little boxy things) that were pretty good one year.

Those little Pug's can still be surprisingly fast for their age on the right piece of road, the Peugeot guys always have a great time running a race within a race. I??

Why does car 835 have a lower race weight than 811 & 859 ! Is that due to driver/codriver weight or faulty scales !

I believe documentation and scrutineering is down at the viaduct/Wynyard Quarter car park Monday afternoon from 3pm (Labour Day) so a good opportunity for the fans suffering a hangover from Sunday night, to wander around and see the cars before they head north west from 7:45am Tuesday.
Special stage 1 is Waitakere way and SS2 on the way to Helensville.
Pity the older cars don't seem to be supporting Targa these days.

Yes it is a shame there are fewer older classics. Targa has just got so much harder and faster over the last ten years; it??

It all still comes down to preparation though, be it a classic or a modern. Look at the Silver Fern, twice as much special stage, all gravel, and nearly all classics.
