LOL, they have the test drive and check to decide. BUT, many do try and return a private sale and use stand over tactics and threats but if you call there bluff they go away. Although if you blatently miss represent it and they have proof they may have a case but a change of mind, NA.

They can cancel the purchase at any time. right up to the point they pay the money. Then they own it.
As long as it has no significant problems that you would definitely have known about you have nothing to worry about.

Whose name it is in, as in registered owner, never counts for anything except who is liable for stationary and moving vehicle offences.

Thanks everyone! just wanted to be sure so that it dosnt come back and bite me after i spend the money! nothing was wrong with the car as far as we knew but sometimes people find things a week or so down the track and i just wanted to know where i stood!
