That would depend on the car and its engine.

I work at a garage 45 minutes away from Pamly, so I don't know where a "good" place would be. Mazda Familia is a very basic car, so anyone can service it. A "service" can depend on a lot of things, what gets checked and/or changed, but allow $120.

$120 for a basic service is OK (which is oil + filter change, and basically checking all the fluid levels, tyre pressures, air filter and spark plugs). NOW, during or after the "basic" service, the garage will inform you if other things need replacing (which could be spark plugs, air filter, fuel filter, brake fluid, transmission oil and antifreeze), which will increase the cost if you authorise the work. But those items can usually "wait" if you are on a budget.

I go to Mobile Mechanical Services at the end of Eyre Rd in Linton. I was charged $100 for an oil and filter change, air filter and spark plugs checked, fluids checked, tyres etc. Definately recommend.
