maybe check the relay is being activated then go from there. My horn contact on the steering wheel wore out on mine and needed to blob solder on it

thanks i tryed direct to horn and it works will i get hit in the head with the airbag if i take the cover off lol

Disconnect your battery before attempting to remove the cover . Airbags can go off!

Nope. Ribbon wire in a clockspring. can have 3,4 or more different circuits. Depending on what you have on the wheel. ie Cruise control, stereo controls, horn and airbag. I haven't come across any clocksprings using CAN yet. Air bag circuit is always separate to everything else. Pull one apart when you get a chance and you can see why they break. Thin wire on ribbon.

Ahh true I suppose, wasn't thinking the answer right through. Ive had a few apart, they are a bit of a rubbish design, replaced countless numbers on latest toyota hilux

it's just cos their missus is old and fugly. I reckon any old bloke who 'can't get it up' would have a horn like a rhino if a hot 22 yr old was on the cards.

yea, done a few hilux's as well. Some of these new cars are going to be a real nightmare in a couple of years. $30 G for a new computer on the new ford rangers at the moment and stuffing up a jump start on them will kill it.Bugger

Some cars need the battery disconnected for hours before it is safe to work with air bags.
