Heard of some prices being double this. Often when cam-belts are replaced they do the water-pump and tensioners , and even pulleys at the same time. Figure your quote is for parts and labor.

Thats still pretty steep. Once you've got down to to belt compartment, swapping all the extra stuff hardly takes any time. So the main cost in labour is getting to the belt and re-assembling. Some engines are a real pain to get to while others a belt and pump swap can be done in 2 hours.

My Honda was $846, that was belts, tensoners plus a few seals and 2.5 hours labour. Most feedback I had here was favorable.

First of all, it's Odyssey. Cambelt (2 of) for a 4 cylinder engine will set you back around $350. Water pump, oil seals and tensioners are optional but will increase if not double the cost.

My 1997 Honda Accord VTi SOHC cambelt cost about $600 two years ago and that included new tensioners, seals and waterpump and labour.
