should be ample stuff on the interweb if you want to have a go yourself.! usually step by step processes available on utube etc, and bound to be message boards offering advice.

I had the same issue in Gisborne. Got a car with an Edelbrock on it - no mechanic here wanted to touch it. So I put a Holley on and sold the Edelbrock

Try and stick to the edelbrock, even if it means having to learn all about them and doing it yourself. For street use they are a much better carb than that one that starts with the letter H .

best thing about them edelbrocks is that theres no gaskets below the fuel line. they're a very good street carb & are easy to tune but if you don't know what to do then find someone who does. out of the box they'll run on almost anything & it may just need a fine tune on the mixture screws. other than that they might need a downsize on the main jet. the stepped needles will keep the fuel mix spot on as long as you have good vaccuum. if you want a hungry gas hogg carb to go real fast, the Edelbrock is not your best choice.
