On a pink sticker check, they're harsh on EVERYTHING. In my opinion, I'd be getting hold of the previous owner and getting them to sort out the warrant. It's pretty suck that they didn't tell you.

Technically the check is a standard WoF check. However, if it's a recent sticker they do have access to what the sticker was issued for, and humans being humans they may concentrate on the suspension (in this case) and the areas that cut springs can effect (like cracked strut towers etc).

How could you NOT know it was pinked Presuming the last owner removed the sticker, then you SHOULD report it to the police seeing as they would have broken the law regarding stickers ($600 fine) & have put you in a awkward spot. The new fines for driving THAT car on an illegally removed sticker would now be YOUR problem
