A screaming fan belt wont go away.

1994 van, a couple belts have snapped now.

Do you know the best method to fix this problem!

Align the alternator with the other pulleys in the system.

Assess the pulleys for damage, wobble in the alternator bearings etc.
Consider a change of belt manufacturer.

The bearings in the alternator could be stuffed as well.The snapped belts, originals or replacements!The wrong profile will cause screaming.Has the alternator been replaced!Could have a different profile pully compared to the one on engine.
