Strange reason to fail a WOF. apparently they are too yellow. any tips on how to clear them up! Seems a silly reason to go to the wreckers and get a whole pair, which will come at great cost, hardly worth it for a cheap runner.

Apparently there is a guy in Auckland who recolours them. I don't know more than that though sorry.

Autosol and some elbow grease should clear them up

Call into your local panel & paint shop and get them to run the buff over them, ten minutes tops.

Any cutting polish rubbed on with a rag will do, and a light buff afterward with a clean rag. They fail because of reduced light output.

Glass or plastic!
Glass, a good glass cleaner/cut polish and buff will do the trick
Plastic, if you get some fine wet n dry and sand then cut polish, sand cut polish etc it will do the job too.

2000! That will be as abrasive as a wet piece of newspaper. I use 1200 wet and then a quick buff with some 3M light polish, just like new.

i guess it depends on how bad it is.ive used both 1200 and 2000

Yep, 2000. Maybe I'm just more particular. It takes a couple of minutes a side.
