did the same jc but think I wore a skid lid -hope you did`nt do what I did - for the days before hiring HD reminded self of `keep right` then took off and wondered why a darned Jeep was on my side of road only to realise I`d kept left! - you soon adjust (or crash).

other funny moment was when locals suggested a nice ride thru wet lands area and I came upon a sign saying you may see alligators, bob-cats, snakes, etc.! - (Florida)thinks - on a bike here - not a lot of protection if meeting these locals -turned back to civilization

I wore full leathers from East Coast to the West Coast and every where in between! I was tempted to ride without but I would feel so vunerable !

nightsky1 Don't be jealous, just save the money and go. I want the a tour, we hired the bikes, all accommodation prebooked had a great time. NZ tour organisers from Queenstown, great hosts.

hey, looks like one of the motels / hotels I stayed at - lot of history there - saw the plaque that showed Cambell still holding fastest run down the beach in Bluebird at 300mph from memory.

bob1088 I was an older low rise Holiday Inn we stayed at. It was pretty good and comfortable. About 4 miles from Main Street where the Bikerfest was.
