"Fast and good on gas" = Not very fast and about as economic as you'd expect from a 20 year old used car.

"Goes hard" = 17 second quartermile

"Lady owner" = Wheels curbed. Oil topped up with cheapest generic brand from the petrol station when the light comes on. Tires deflated all round. Ticking sound from the rear 'just part of the cars character'. Paint wrecked from service station carwash.

"Custom" = Home made.

"Keen on swaps" = This car is a massive liability that I cannot afford to keep and no one who knew what they were looking at would buy it.

Over to you.

"This 4WD was used off road and got dents to prove it" How often do you ask a seller of a 4WD to show you where the dents are, or you won't buy it, because there's no "proof" that it can go off road!

Rust Free = no charge for the corrosion.

bagal, Nov 28, 7:43am
"Owned by a mechanic" (decided to sell rather that repair)
"Good rubber" (new wiper inserts)
"A good buy" (to your money)
"This won't last long" (this is probably the only bit of honest advertising)
"English assembled" (came out as deck cargo and regularly washed with sea water)

richynuts, Nov 28, 8:37am
Seen this the other day.'Has had cambelt changed at 100,000k's and recently at 200,000k's"

richynuts, Nov 28, 8:46am

trogedon, Nov 28, 7:09pm
"First to see will buy" (first to see will bye.) - what an arrogant statement.

lovemore_mbigi, Nov 28, 7:27pm
"bargain buy" - the price is cheeky, but what the hell
"need the space" - the landlord has finally evicted me
"moving overseas" - see above
"restoration project" - if you can find it in the bush down by the creek
"95 percent complete" - that's only the wheel rims I'm talking about
"easily restorable" - if you have 20 years and a six figure budget
"economical" - true, since it hardly ever starts
"body kitted" - I recycled the neighbour's wheelie bin for the plastic bits
"unfinished project" - it's in an estimated 60+ banana boxes scattered across greater Auckland
"runs well" - yes, that's the oil down the driveway
"good for student" - I don't like those smartarses much
