Try Biketranz, they may do a ride-on for you. Just as a guide, they will do a motorcycle from Auckland to Nelson for $400 approx.

Try Palmerston transport services, branchs in PN, Akld and ChCh. Got trucks crossing the ditch all the time, I am sure they could do something. Google ptsl, that will find them
