Should be easy as, just nuts and bolts and a couple of spanners.do it yourself job.

Yep, DIY job, but please use new high tensile nuts and bolts (grade 8.8) and make sure they are FT.

That looks like a light wieght towbar, Don't go dragging 1/3 of a cube of builders mix with it! I've seen 3 bars that failed, two on commercial vehicles, all made by. the towteam!

That's a pretty crappy bar. Those side plates aren't braced to the cross member and they seem to have stress raising sharp corners.

Thanks guys, glad you mentioned that it looks pretty light weight and crappy. We have decided just to get it all done at the Tow Bar place.

Ditto, wouldn't buy a tow bar unless it's rated and from a reputablesupplier. Buy easy as to do it yourself.

At 150, find out if it complies, take a pic to who does your warrants.
They may beable to tell by looking otherwise make some arrangements with seller that you will pay after you show your mechanic.
The guy says was custom made in 2010 for a company vehicle so it should comply, then again might be why its getting sold, might of been made, tried to get a warrant and couldn't get one with it on. ASK

There is no specific compliance for towbars used on this class of vehicle other than "fitness for purpose" and that is purely subjective.

Although more than adequate for bolting on a tow bar 8.8 is structural grade not high tensile.

And that one looks like it's already bent!
