Have always wondered how dents are removed from the sill of a car! Probably sound stupid to everyone but yea just wondered

Either by welding tags on and pulling them out, cutting a section out and hammering it back into shape before welding it back in, making a new section and welding it in or in extreme cases replacing the sill.

I have seen a piece of 4X2 inserted between both ends of a sill and bogged over. The resto guy down the road from us came across it when he started rebuilding someone's pride and joy.

When I worked on the Slone/cox Evo 10 last year.
We welded washer(s) on it & pulled it out, where it was folded (after not being able to pull it out)we made a new piece to put over the top & welded that on.
Left the old one in the place cos it was to give the Rally car extra strengh (sp).
That same car also had other work done at the same time,we changed the body lines slightly too. oops!
