can anyone tell me of a good wof place in foxton or palerston north, pref cheap and if you need to book in or if they do it while you wait TIA

If in Foxton Motex at the Mobil on the main road are good guys but think you will have to book. Otherwise Jack Retter motors on Tremain Ave in Palmy are very reasonble and take care in there work and will do it while you wait. I would stay away from those little workshops unless you know them well as they are not allways as good as they sound with there cheap wofs and some of them take cars to the testing station as they get cheap rates so make $10-$15 for just driving your car across town.

The solution to that one is not to turn up at smoko or lunchtimes!Amazingly enough mechanics have to eat and drink as well, and can only do it at certain times.The amount of people that ring up and ask for those times, or worse book for say 9:30 and then show up at 10 for example is ridiculous.And then you get the pensioners that have such structured lives who are breaking your door down at 7:45 in the morning as you're getting your overalls and boots on because they want a WOF for their trailer that they've used once since you looked at it six months ago and "can't get there at any other time, I've got bowls this afternoon".WTF!Look at it from our side of the fence.

Well at least testing station doesnt shut down atmeal breaks&I know when to take it in to miss the house wives& never on a fridayWhen your self employed havent got time to sit around for couple hours .Booking in doesnt helpstill have to leave it with the garage .
