Mag cleaning

peternz, Dec 3, 2:39am
Hi all,I want to clean a set of ally mags. What is a good cleaner ! Thanks.

kazbanz, Dec 3, 4:18am
I use a product called mag wheel cleaner.-Yea honest thats what its called. Basicly I spray water onto the alloy then spray the cleaner on and scrub with a stiff brush. Then more water.
Incidently one trap for new players is you need to move the car about 400 mm forwards or backwards or else you miss a big bit

Just use normal car wash, it works perfectly fine. And then wax your mags so it helps to repel brakedust and makes it much easier to clean off. But if you do buy mag wheel cleaner then be sure to get the acid free one.

Define clean!are they just grubby or stained that a normal wash won't remove the marks. Two different processes.

What if you've 'scuffed' the alloys on the kerb! How do you fix that!

kazbanz, May 2, 12:11am
then you go to a mag reconditioner who will sort them out
