1995 Nissan Cefiro A32. Is there an easy way to do this! It is a right pain. Cheers.

Why would you want to!With kids I think it's a great safety feature of the Nissans, that way you hear the unlock sound before you have the kid trying to open a door in transit.

kazbanz, Dec 5, 4:02pm
A sparkie can fix that for you.

nick91111, Dec 5, 4:08pm
I realize with kids it is a good safety feature, however I do not have any, also I store stuff in my backseat and get in and out a lot to get stuff and always having to unlock the doors when I stop is such a hassle!

nick91111, Dec 5, 4:09pm
Yeah I realize this! But, I am fairly mechanically minded, just not enough to know what to do exactly. Shouldn't have a problem once I know how!

crzyhrse, Dec 5, 4:10pm
Use the child locks - they work much better.

nick91111, Dec 5, 4:11pm
Exactly they do the same thing, and heaps easier for people that don't need to have their back doors locked.

pedo locks

nick91111, Dec 5, 4:12pm
Appreciate the opinions, but can anyone shed light on my original post!

crzyhrse, Dec 5, 4:14pm
They don't do exactly the same thing.

morticia, Dec 5, 4:28pm
Some people like to choose whether their doors are locked or not, even with kids. Self locking doors are just a pain in the arse.

The only thing a car should do without being told to is to change gears, dim the rear vision mirror and cancel the indicators.

Thank goodness Microsoft doesn't build cars.

nick91111, Dec 5, 4:40pm
Same idea I guess, child locks you can open from outside which is a better idea

cuda.340, Dec 5, 4:46pm
my wife has a 95 cefiro, everytime you open the drivers door all the locks open. do you want people to open the door whilst you're still in the pilots chair!

bigfatmat1, Dec 5, 4:46pm
remove the center console and radio look down unplug the central lock controller and cut the pink and blue wire.

swannie3, Dec 5, 5:07pm
I dont actually own a Nissan, my teenage son does. And yes, it would annoy the piss outta me too if I had to live with it.But I see the benefits.Does google have a wiring diagram online you could reference off!

- anti-hijack locking.
Vital in many countries.

bigfatmat1, Dec 5, 5:27pm
Ill correct that remove radio surround ashtray and gearlever surround then remove radio

A few years back I had a Toyota with automatic locking. A real pain in thearse.
I tried a few ways of disabling it but then the central locking and something else wouldn't work either,so I just hooked it back up and sold it.
I never tried cutting the pink and blue wire,
Really I didn't sell it. I gave it to my daughter.

What happens if you have an accident will the doors still stay locked!

bigfatmat1, Dec 5, 7:04pm
You cut the speedo signal input to the central lock controller the toyota speed signal to the central lock controller is not a pink and blue wire.

bigfatmat1, Dec 5, 7:06pm
on the later cefiros/maxima the input wire is purple and it must be cut at the back of the dash cluster.

nick91111, Dec 5, 7:23pm
Yeah I think so, which is dangerous, they are designed to unlock I think, but if no airbags go off etc, there is no way to detect

nick91111, Dec 5, 7:24pm
Do you mean A33! I have the A32

gunhand, Dec 5, 7:25pm
GEEZ, we all know its always the Blue wire.or is it the Red!
