agree with Mopar63 sort of.To me a weekend toy is something out of the ordinary - be it anything from and old english car, to italian, american V8 etc etc.but thats just me.I guess any club style car could be a weekend toy.

I doubt it has 180kw at the wheels, though if it does, its running way higher boost than standard and getting close to maxing out the factory turbo an injectors.

I'm not about to make any comments about your mums tastes. But a Z3'sgotta be more fun than a Nissan Skyline

daily driver is a ford ranger. Want something fun and different for the weekend; and no i don't break the law.It has to be legal, but would be nice to take to the track sometime.

what about something like 351053585 for a weekend toy!

I'm with many others here. A Skyline turbo is nothing hugely interesting as a weekend car. Capable, reasonably quick and a great tourer but hardly something to keep for weekends only.
Personally I like the Z32, 300ZX TT.I bought a manual SWB one just before xmas for just that reason.
With relatively minor mods they are quick enough to scare the cr*p out of you and with some sensible spending on preventative maintenance issues are pretty reliable too. Throw in T-Tops for summer along with the iconic 300zx look and you have a good weekend car.
As mentioned earlier, the value of good Z32s has started to climb. In a few years a genuine TT Manual is likely to be worth substantially more than you can pick one up for today. A skyline (particularly R33) in anything less than GTR form is most likely going to drop in value.
Just my 2c worth

Just a bit of fishing at the mo.Would allow me to get more places though.I suppose they are riddled with problems though!

Seriously. The 1900cc Z3 couldn't pull the proverbial. You may as well buy an MX5 for half the price and have twice as much fun.
