Unreasonable expectations of chinese dirt bike!

Irrelevant, as pointed out.

kazbanz, Dec 9, 4:07pm
Um so just to be clear --The GN250 made in china is as good a product as the origonal Jap built one then!

mapman, Dec 9, 4:37pm
Nope, sorry I??

kazbanz, Dec 9, 4:45pm
NOMapmay--the GN250 out of china is an underengineered pile of crud.
The chrome rusts quickly. The wiring is telegraph wire thickness. The plastic sidecovers break--actually the list of faults IVE PERSONALLY had to deal with on customer bikes is HUGE. If they represent the height of quality from China then --well nuff said

mapman, Dec 9, 5:23pm
If that??

tigertim20, Dec 9, 6:12pm
I think I can sum the last dozen posts up in one line.
Hey, Mapman, Fvck off! - youre wrong

dr.doolittle, Dec 9, 6:37pm
You're on to it Zeph.

mapman, Dec 9, 6:56pm
Easy to be said but for you very hard to say why, lack of knowledge does that. At least most people offer some form of explanation but hey I like liaising from time to time so, nah Timothy Fvck off! You are wrong.

crzyhrse, Dec 9, 9:54pm
All you've proven is that you are a fool.

crzyhrse, Dec 9, 9:57pm
Nope. The fact that the japanese makes some crappy bikes to a price doesn't prove the chinese make any decent ones.

pollymay, Dec 9, 11:18pm
I have a fair idea of what the chinese do and do not make, I don't need mapman ass kissing them for me.

strobo, Dec 10, 4:06am
Molten metals& the process used is the problem , major quality brands abide by quality metals with the right compositions ,the clue as to where their problem isthe carbon issue & having to refine .This cost the company more $$$ they just don't refine, where as china focuson mass production & turnover(shift the stock make a dollar) some just don't understandthis with chinese made motors made to do one job and one job only so to speak .GenuineHonda engines are a great example of quality metals , rarely crystallize& are durable. Let the buyer beware!

strobo, Dec 10, 4:21am
Mapman may have a chinese maid missus (sp) that's working out alright for him ;) lol Hence his high opinion of "made in china"

kazbanz, Dec 10, 7:07am
No mapman it proves that even when building under licence to a highly reputable company the stuff out of china is just not up to scratch. Don't get me wrong if the SUZUKI had a daelim or shineray or even Lifan badge I would say Hey not bad for stuff from china. But they are NOT they are Suzuki -I have myself been an agent for a reputable brand out of china.
After several VERY nasty incidents as well as endless problems I stopped. selling the product.

whqqsh, Dec 10, 7:10am
I know Chinky no-name stuff isnt good but youd expect more than an hours running out of them either way

richynuts, Dec 10, 7:25am
I was always bought up with the saying "no one ever regrets buying quality". If this guy only wants to spend$600 for a chinese dirt bike how much is he spending on safety gear for the kids! I would of spent $1000-$1200 on a secondhand yamaha/ honda 50cc then paid good money for quality safety gear.

kazbanz, Dec 10, 7:31am
THE DAY HAD TO COME-- where I agree with you 100% mon.
In my case theres strenth in numbers-so the safety gear passes down from kid to kid as they grow up

stabi360, Dec 10, 7:50am
see what happens to a hotchinese engine quenched in cold water, up high country miles from no where!yeah right tui anyone!as if its going to make it there in the first place pffffffft

kazbanz, Dec 10, 7:54am
In fairness one offroad rental company uses exclusively bikes from china and has had no issues

strobo, Dec 10, 8:02am
Good point Bob :) My flavour is DB or Speights though !lol

studio1, Dec 10, 8:07am
There's a real simple solution to this problem. If people refused to purchase cheap china crap then there would be no market for it.
They'd either have to stop making it or improve their production abilities and turn out a way better product.
While consumers continue to 'buy cheap' it just encourages china to make even more.

mapman, Dec 10, 8:29am
Your calling me names because you have nowhere else to go, thanks for giving me the indication that your full of the brown stuff.again. What knowledge have you got about importing Power Sport products from China. You draw your opinions from a distance without input or experience and that very much makes you the fool.

mapman, Dec 10, 8:32am
Looks like you have gone down the same track as crzyhorse, but got personal about it too strobo. What kind of creep brings another mans wife into it! You strobo, your the creep. Not only do you go below the belt, but you are making a lot of presumptions about me. Firstly, my wife is not Chinese, secondly, I have not imported Motorbikes or ATVs from China ???ever??? to sell because of the piss poor quality that NZ??

mapman, Dec 10, 8:37am
Then this is surely Suzuki??

strobo, Dec 10, 8:44am
One thing about chinese is yes they are proven (proven sellers) the market is there for cheap stuff ,Generally unsuspectingpublic on the whole buy this.much to their regret after the fact,They are not wanting reliability or quality just the cheap affordable stuff ,some are quite happy to tinker with them cause that's the kiwi way.& how it goes , id say the best place for that chinese junk is back in the scrap back to where it come from , untill they get it right .
