Nothing wrong with them but you will get people who have no experience with them to stay away because it's not a toyota or nissan. Haven't driven one my self but owned and off roaded a couple of Cherokees with the same bullet proof mechanicals, except the Wragnlers have a stronger rear end from memory. Was never let down, looking to buy the V8 Grand Cherokee next.

Take it for a test drive at 100kph. Both people I know who bought them were shocked at what a handful they are on the open road. Short wheel base, primitive suspension = poor road holding.

They actually haven't got primitive suspension they have very good suspension,a head of there time really and they handle very well on the road for what they are .they are NOT a racing car they are a 4x4 and one of the best off road.buy one with a hard top they are so much better .not like driving a tent at a 100 k .lol.relieability wise it would be one of the best i have owned [ so far .lol.] and i have had a few, as long as you are not worried about fuel as they are guzzlers
I love my jeep would own nothing else

the only issue I've had is the electrics, the key crapped out .wouldn't turn on cost $90 to fix also put in start button, this solved all problems with starting.i would see if has had a yoke eliminator if has had a big lift, check for cracks in manifold, oil behind gear box.looks a good wagon but guessing could get cheaper than asking price. paid $12000 for 2002 and was as new from a dealer,he was asking $14000.my4x4would be the easiestthat i've ever owned to live with.mine really gets thrashed off road it's not a shopping basket
