Jas Jenners at Auckland Airport do a heap of them. They should be able to give you a shipping price at least (don't forget the Gummint will want their cut too)

I would suggest calling John Key (not the PM) in Tauranga. He does this on a regular basis and can give you a quote. He is very well organised and can help with everything.

2200nz to get from LA to Tauranga/wellington,allow $US1/ mile to get your car across the states to LA,allow approx 1300nz to get through all port charges and MAF,allow 100nz for marine insurance[depending on the price of your car] add shipping, insurance and purchase price and then GST yourself with that lot then do the maths to total it up. Yep Steve at Kiwishipping is good but shop around and do your homework, theres a lot for sale in new zealand that you can see and is as cheap/less risk than importing one yourself.

I understand you can import a certain type of car from USA and it can remain left hand drive as long as the car remains registed in the new owners name for 4 years , Anybody know the rules and regulations before I look at the ltsa website.

kiwi shipping, say hi to Steve from Nev. you can import a 20 year or older car and dont have to change to R/H drive, you can sell it anytime you want methinks under the new regulations and you can import as many as you want as well [correct me on these gems also if need be]
