brilliant.remember,if it wasnt for guys like this, the world wouldnt be half as entertaining

johnf_456, Feb 4, 11:39am
A very old video but sure is funny no matter how many times you watch it.

elect70, Feb 4, 1:45pm
I hear new rules will make it illegal to drive your jet boat onto your traileranyone confirm this !

big.b-lil.c, Feb 4, 2:35pm
might be a bylaw driving onto the trailer washes away the bed in front of the ramp after a time it undermines it

lookoutas, Feb 4, 3:05pm
It's already frowned upon on Lake Taupo - for the reasons #8 stated. They can get stuffed as far as the ramp goes on the river here at Taumarunui. We (local boaters) put it in anyway.

One thing I like about that clip is it's not really a Jetboat.

johnf_456, Feb 4, 3:19pm
no need to drive it on, coming from someone who has owned all sorts of various boats.

lookoutas, Feb 4, 3:33pm
Why not!
It's fast and simple, and you're out of the way in no time.

johnf_456, Feb 4, 3:40pm
Because I prefer to do and I'd rather not risk sliding off the trailer esp getting the roller lined up. Besides not all trailers and boats are even capable of doing it physically.

robbo36, Feb 4, 3:48pm
Used to drive the jetboat onto the trailer and once safety chain on, used it to help get the vehicle moving until it lost drive once the intake gulped air, especially on a unsealed ramp.

lookoutas, Feb 4, 4:16pm
And that's because you know how to do it properly:)
And you're using the right boat to do it.

johnf_456, Feb 4, 4:21pm
Doing it properly and gulping mmmm

lookoutas, Feb 4, 4:37pm
It's quite simple john - that guy didn't do it properly.
Probably just had the van sitting there with only the handbrake on. ie, looking for trouble.
Hey - I've heard of it happening to guys with all sorts of boats. That was bloody funny coz it was enclosed.

johnf_456, Feb 4, 4:46pm
No shit he didnt do it properly I'm not stupid, a plain retard at its best. I agree with this pal no need to say it :) What sort of moron backs their car in the water that far, not worth the headaches, rust been one of the big ones.

johnf_456, Feb 4, 4:47pm
Still running a jet as a form of propulsion.

icemans1, Feb 4, 6:14pm
and the van won't start due to a flooded carburettor

rovercitroen, Feb 4, 6:16pm
Drove into the water to dip the lights.

lookoutas, Feb 5, 6:37am
I hope you haven't taken your bottle of awkward pills today john-f.
There is a difference between a Jet Boat and a Jet Ski, The main difference is; "Jet Boaters don't wish to share the same water and reputation as Jet Skiers"

And before you need to worry about rust issues, you need to taste the water.

johnf_456, Mar 11, 7:01pm
Excuse me, that is a personal thing if they like jet skiers, everyone is different so perhaps you need your pills. When I have been away with the family jet boat, jetskis and jetboat people get on very well. So don't see what your problem is, arrogance maybe! They both drive similar, to sort that like to rip it up and show off! Thats fine if you don't like jetski's but thats your personal choice.

Lol taste the water, there is more issue than that.-
