Probably spare shear pins for the prop.

Not a 12V outlet to run auxiliary stuff like running lights, spotlights etc! Or perhaps charge batteries in a yacht. Just sayin'.

Maybe, has 3 yellow wires running to back of it, so not just spare pins for a prop, may have to start it and put meter on them and see what I get

Sounds like power output to me. Probably unrectified AC.

+1 Just remember, you can't just hook a battery straight up to charge it.

It totally is, its for charging your batteries up, although prob not high output, you can buy the cables for outboard shops.

. Ta, I will chuck meter on it and see what it pokes out, though no real outboard shops here in Kerikeri anymore, mite just rewire it to a simple plug hanging out the hole, hopefully it will allow me to keep the battery for fishfinder and radio reasonably charged up :)
