He says that it is a auto trans shifted manually which is like a Ferrari. I call bullshit on that, Ferrari's have a dsg box which is a manual shifted automatically like the alfa's , the Ferrari can also be shifted with paddles behind the wheel also.

I drove a Ferrari California and a Maserati Gran Turismo on Thursday and I don't remember either having a gear shifter like that.
And what's with mentioning the 486 conversion six times. Does he think car enthusiasts suffer from memory loss!

This guy's on drugs. Built by a master craftsman for a masterb.

the price is so high no one will buy it,and for a reason! He obiviously doesnt want his ex to get any of the money.this would be a divorce fight to sell the car.

Thats what i was thinking as well. But the you also have to laugh at the previous poster who said something along the lines of getting a turbo'd jappa to do 10 seconds on the strip, while this may be true just remember the jappa has no class or style.

Aw cum on guys - it's got a neat looking tacko screwed onto the dash! And a big bundle of gauges hanging stylishly underneath!
I would say #14 ain't/shouldn't be far off the mark. Hopefully - as I can't imagine anyone being such a tosser.
ontwowheels,

yes but you still have a boring looking, no character jappa

its clearly worth what he is asking, he mentioned how the engine builder is a 'master crafstman' 3 times. Any ad that says that 3 times is clearly a fair and reasonable price.

Well I did see a ferrari go for a dollar on an auction with ebay australia, the guy had his mate bid $1 So all he had to give his ex wife as a part of divorce settlement was 50 cent and he incurred all other costs. Wonder why this guy doesnt do the same.

#20 - might not have any good friends he can trust. Would have to change ownership all the legal shit then once divorce settled swap it back over - alot of trust required there.

That's one sick SAAS steering wheel yo! If he's done all that "craftsmanship" and it only runs 10's, there is a problem. There is a 1992 XR8 on australian ford forums that the guy was running some AFR 165 heads, an Edelbrock copy intake (chinese copy) and a big XE comp cam, he was running 11's, with two turbos and only 6 psi, he cracked low 9's. All on a standard 302 block and standard BTR auto.

you could buy alot more car than that for almost a mill you could make many many yank tanks quicker than that thing for that sort of coin
saxman99,

I don't think that auction is anything to do with selling a car, there's something else going on.(Maybe the old 'screwing over the ex' as people have said above.)Hmmmm.

The only "wanker" I see is poster #1. This has been talked about numerous times. To think it's something new is one thing, to call the seller a wanker, when you dont even know them & Just 'out of the blue' is another. Mind you, probably never deen a Camaro in Pahiatua.

I would expect much, much more horsepower from an engine that size with heaps of money thrown at it, wouldn't you!

Based on the ,,,"What diff ratio am I going to run in my 10 sec drag car theory" this car is not going to have a very high top speed, so that would make it not very fast at all.If it can to a 10 sec 1/4 mile, it needs to have gearing suitableto do that. .It might be possible, for this car to to 130mph at over 7000 revs, but it wont do it for long, and look at the size of the alternator pully, thats going to be spinning at about 18000 rpm. ,, Then maybe shes talking about a standing 1/8 mile.
