When i worked at the Subaru plant back in the 80's it was pronounced sue-bar-eww even by the jap blokes who came over from time to time. Just wondered if Sooba-roo was the new way of saying it or was it an aussie or yank thing embraced by lots of kiwi's, even had a young bloke in a car parts place tell me off for not saying sooba-roo, when i told him i used to work at the subaru factory in Waitara he still said he was right and we were wrong, jumped up little prik

the japanese language pronounce it as Su)( the u is like a long oo) ba( bah sharp and short) ru( ru the u is yet again lie a long oo , i would type the jap katakana for it but it wont work in the forum
