Bought a lump to my throat listening to his interview when he said that he wrote 30yrs of birthday cards for his kids. what a hard thing to do.
I had the pleasure of meeting him at Pukekohe & talking 1 on 1 for about 20 minutes one saturday evening before he had to depart back to his hotel; just an awesome guy with a great outlook on the V8SC & other racers in general. Not once while we talked did he say anything bad about any of his rival drivers & he said he loved Pukekohe for it's outright speed.
JR; you took the V8SC by storm & had some outstanding drives. You will be sadly missed by family, fellow racers & supporters alike.
The fight is over & may you rest in peace my friend.

RIP Jason. It isnt often a guy comes along who despite that incredibly competitive edge still manages to race like a gentleman, doesn't lose sight of the important things in life and somehow, despite the knowledge of the disease he had and the inevitable outcome, managed to keep so positive to the last.
Sorely missed.

Chin up and all the best, Fordfan, at least you are on the right side of a dark road. (Not on the Holden side.).
Fish.
